The Secret of Stillness
In stillness
In a body at rest
In a mind that is silent
There is no movement
The “I” that you think you are
Is not an entity
It is a process
The depends on movement
No movement, no “I”
What exists when there’s no “I”?
What is present in the “I”‘s absence?
Just what is, as it is
Ever-present, unchanging
The One, without a second
God, the Tao, Brahman
Any surprise, dear One
That the Bible says
“Be still and know
That I am God!”
That Ramana Maharshi says
“Be silent!”
In stillness, the “I” isn’t
In stillness, God is
