It makes me value the blessing of Grace

It makes me appreciate the withering pride

I’m grateful for the times of trouble
It makes me realize that I’m in my bubble

I’m grateful for when I’m sad
It makes me enjoy when I’m glad

I’m grateful when relationships stumble
It teaches me to remain humble

I’m grateful for my failing plans
Helps me learn to leave it in God’s hands

I’m grateful for all my fears
Helps me flow in surrender and tears

I’m grateful for when I get angry
It reminds me of the power to be free

I’m grateful for times of parting
Helps me see Oneness everlasting

I’m grateful for visits from death
Makes me appreciate each valued breath

I’m grateful for when I’m cheated
Teaches me how people like to be treated

I’m grateful for times of heartache
So I can learn to love and stay awake

I’m grateful for when I feel small
Helps me enjoy ego’s fall

I’m grateful for possessions lost
It reflects to that attachments can cost

I’m grateful for my prejudice
Focuses me on favoring justice

I’m grateful for harsh medical treatment
Helps me value freedom from ailment

I’m grateful for Maya’s charms
It rushes me into the Divine’s arms

I’m grateful for feeling separate
It makes me seek bright light great

I’m grateful for suffering as an “I”
Out of duality it makes me fly

I’m grateful for getting stuck in otherness
It accelerates abidance as No-otherness

I’m grateful for ignoring the present, the now
Makes me remember there’s only the Tao
